They have an open kitchen so you can see how they make their noodles. I had their cold udon noodles with the sides I picked: deep friend egg plant and karaage, the portion isn't too big but it can fill you up with the sides. I really love their freshly made udon, so delicious! It would be great if they can accept card payment. I don't understand the reason why they don't accept card payment when your shop is inside the department store.

Their standard of food is very even and reliable but on a busy day, the trays are wet and the supply line seemed working very hard to catch up.

The BEST Marugame Udon place I have tried and I have been to San Francisco and Hawaii locations. I have never had the spicy pork udon and it seriously blew me away. Sweet beef makes me feel sick sometimes so this savory pork was right up my alley. The broth is so delicious and you know the udon is consistent and obviously bouncyyy! All of the staff are very nice and can speak English if you need more assistance while you get your food. It’s in a food court which I love because that means you can get bubble tea We ate udon in Ximending and immediately regretted it when we found out Marugame Udon was nearly. We loved the food so much that we came back twice within our 8 day Taiwan trip 非常好吃 the only con is finding a seat because the food court can get crowded but HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you love udon or noodles in general!

Food: the broth is rich, creamy, and spicy, which makes the udon noodles tasty. It’s better than I expected. This is a place that I will come back to eat and recommend to friends. Location: it’s in the B1 level of 新光三越 mall, the environment is clean and nice.

Great place for a consistently delicious handcrafted bowl of udon. What’s neat is that you can see the udon being freshly made to the left of where you start your order. After receiving your udon order you proceed down the line, add any desired tempura to the tray (white fish tempura was popular), Paso for your food, and then add tanuki and/or green onions to your food. We’ve been here a few times already and the noodles have that consistently fresh and delicious bite. Their two types of broth have been good and last time I found myself dipping some of the tempura into their pork broth. I definitely recommend Marugame Udon for a delicious, quick, and affordable bowl of udon.

Consistently fast and delicious! Marugame Udon is a popular worldwide chain and is very consistent in their high quality udon and service. My favorite is the classic beef udon. The pictured one I got today is the spicy pork udon. Both are solid 4/5 stars. I typically get the kakiage tempura. It's deep fried onions and carrots and works really well. This branch had a tempura crab stick. The price was shockingly low for it, then I took a bite, it was imitation crab. That makes sense with the price then. Marugame Udon is located on B1 of the Mitsukoshi mall. The menu is available in Chinese and English. Everything has pictures so it's easy to point out what exactly you want. The tempura is all self-serve too. You can get a pretty big meal for around NT$200 here!
